Luke Schmaltz is the Editor of VOICES, the monthly newsletter from SADOD. He inspires readers through stories about bereaved people, peer grief helpers, direct service providers, and people in recovery. He is also a member of the company’s social media and Visions & Voices content teams.
Luke is a fiction author and a musician, thriving as the principal songwriter, lead singer, and founder of his band, King Rat. He tours the Mountain West and Midwest regions with his band and as a solo acoustic performer.
He began his interest in outreach in 2016, when he became a member of SNAP (Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests) in a proactive effort to confront and cope with childhood trauma.
