August 31st marks this year’s International Overdose Awareness Day.
On the morning of Wednesday the 31st, a small group of Overdose Prevention Fund volunteers will be planting 2,290 purple flags on the campus green to represent the lives lost to opioid-related overdoses in Massachusetts over the past year. Members of the public are welcome to join and plant purple butterflies throughout 💜
At 12:00 PM, we invite all to join us on the UMass Memorial Medical Center Facebook page for a Facebook Live. It will include a brief ceremony of reflection and remembrance, as we support all who are grieving.
